monthly challenge
August 2024
Like the Ferrero Roche dude, I'm spoiling you all, not just the Ambassador this month.
'How so!' came a cry from the back, well, this months challenge is a triple whammy, a 3 in 1 oil of poetic lubrication.
First, (inspired by John's comment on my post ) Is to invent a new word, this is where the poet has license to thrill! The example opposite is 'trickle-tickle' I use to describe that slight fizz of excitement I got as a kid, in a caravan bunk bed, waiting for the summer storm. It has to make sense, and be used by you in a sentence or poem.
Second: Pick a color and make a poem about it, there was something else, ah that's it, without (if possible) resorting to cliche, yellow - custard, bananas, hint colours are associated with lots of things?!
Lastly, more straight forward , look at the style of the image, retro comic? So write about a fave comic, real or imaginary, adult
No not those! Popular mechanics, Marie Claire, NME, kids, Hotspur, Dandy etc
As usual, this is is not a test, nor obligatory, only you can judge its worth and whether you want to have a go or not.
