Wrapped in silk

She took her heart
Wrapped in silks
Of purple and rose
With tender hands and love
Took it to a safe place
Buried it deep
Her heart needed to rest.
The fallen leaves and moss
The flurry of snow
Cover that tranquil place.
Visiting from time to time
She lays hands over
Her heart
Lying dormant and resting
When she feels the warmth
Of his hand near hers
The tenderness of his voice
Melts the snow.
Deep in the earth
Her heart hears his words
She listens
and builds a steady beat
to awaken
Welcome back Debbie, so lovely to hear your poetic voice again.
Love rekindled with great imagery.
A melancholy story but with a positive ending, nice
I love the delicacy of this. A buried heart awakening
Some lovely images. Well done!
