This is a glorious life, why do you want to leave?
… Well, I’m in so much discomfort, you won’t believe.
How can we convince you, that you must stay?
… Well you can take this f*****g Parkinson’s away.
We understand your cursing, we feel your pain,
… But it’s every day, again and again.
You only get one chance, with this existence,
… So why must I suffer, with this life sentence?
Don’t you see it’s a test, to see how you cope,
… But it’s too much to take, I have no hope.
You’ll reap the rewards, stay with it, and see,
… I hope you’re right, I’ll put my trust in thee.

I agree with Nige the first verse grabs you from the get go - straight to the point, succint and no messing about. When they tell you- you don't die from Parkinson's you die with it - I want to scrream - would you want to live with it!
Yep! it needs no more than that, in fact the first verse nails it, and that's a positive thing! It's what poetry is for me , or rather one aspect, the ability to convey much with little.
