A Key conversation

“Have you seen my keys” I cried
“They’re where you left them”, she replied
“Have you tidied them away?”
“You should have left them in the tray”
“This time I thought I had”
“If you leave them there it’s not so bad.
You do this every single time”
“If I do it’s not a crime
I’ve too much on my mind to note
Every single line you quote”
“A place for every single thing
What happiness that would bring
Can you see which key has gone
And where it was and what it’s on”
“It’s under something of this I’m sure
Now I can’t unlock the door.
Oh, it’s open that’s a shock
And there’s the key still in the lock”

An enjoyable read for sure ,thank you John
