Tooled up

More than a playground my first workplace

Tooled up with bow saw and axe

A windfall of branches gathered

I saw the wood amongst the trees

Chopped to trim before I take a bough

Dragged through the forest across the road

To be seated on a wooden horse

Where kindling not sourced from Amazon

Teeth bite sawdust blows in the wind

I log on, to fuel the warmth of the fireplace
