The Twist

I can see the sense of it all

I am here to survive

To stay strong no matter how

And finally get wise

Feels like a little bird

Which is falling out of its parents’ nest

Like an overwhelming firestorm

Burning down all you have had

Like an earthquake

Evolving all sorts of fear

Like the biggest mountain to climb

And yet not the right gear

Like the final joke

And no one really gets it

Like you are finally there

And the gatekeeper just said „that’s it“

I am always too early, too late

Too sick or not yet enough

Nothing feels right and

Live can be so tough.

But then again

The bird has its wings

That will prevent the downfalls

Everything burned can be replaced

or is kept inside your heart’s safe walls

Fear gets less when you look at it

Not every mountain needs to be climbed when you think of it.

Feeling odd will go away

And maybe you can go tomorrow

instead of today.

You might be too early, too late

Too sick or not yet enough

Nothing might feel right and

Live can be so tough.

You are not here

Only to survive

You are here to be and to feel

All the pain and beauty in life.
