The end is neigh
Four horseman plot the downfall of the human race.
Mother natures animals will put them in their place
Canines will it be the dogs, they are mans best friend
Or will Earth become planet of the apes simian ascends
Blowing their own trumpet they miss the stalking horse
Conversation over herd, war suggested a horse for a course
Pestelence drooled at the thought of a horse meal
Even famine could eat a horse but what was the deal
Famines dark horse appalled by conversation
Proposed to red warhorse they start a horse nation
The riders can’t hold their horses and a stampede resulted
Too late to shut barn doors riders trapped as equine bolted
War rages he will put them to the sword, end this horse play
Death says he will wait there using his scythe to make hay
Refuses to flog a dead horse in a four horse race
Pestilence can’t get back in the saddle hasn’t got the pace
Agents of chaos, but horseless cowboys too
Try to recapture their steeds with looping lasso
Riders distracted by gif horse in mouth revelations
Horses escape mount misdirection by animation
The horses run rings around them as they jockey for position
They have a mare, conflict show jumps their ambitions
Sitting on the fence famine seeks to find the balance
Lacking horse sense undermines their alliance
Have no fear of the apocalypse herald
Its riders of chaos will not destroy the world
Join with Mother Natures heroes brave and true
I hope and pray, may the horse be with you

Very clever, the humour cantrasting with the topic. I know there's a word for this but I can't think of it just now.
A clever poem using all those horse related sayings and play on words with a great last line.
