The Cure

Scientists gather
Neurologists chatter
Physios ruminate
While nurses accumulate.
What is missing from the crowd?
Can't you tell?
Well it's about that time
Out of our mouths to spill.
It's ME you're missing
While researching and trialling
ME! I'm here
Is it us you fear?
We might just debunk the myths
May discover your research left in tatters and bits
We are the experts you truly need to call
Together in your hands the answers will fall.
Use women and men
The young and the old
It clearly makes sense
It's how theories unfold.
I'm not waiting anymore
No hard feelings
Just making sure
I've lived, laughed and loved
So my life will be full
Despite, not because of a cure.
Hi Rose, with your permission I would like to post your poem on our social media pages as part of Parkinson's awarenss month. There is no pressure but I'd be grateful if you could reply with a yes or a no.
Thanks Ali
So often I feel we know more about the affects of our disease than they do.,
