Listening with my Mother,
Vinyl singles years ago.
Disc spins upon another,
Playing songs we know.
~
Singing together loudly,
Dancing hand in hand.
Remember moments fondly,
Sure you’ll understand.
~
Years of life happen,
Moments live and grieve.
Music my companion,
Always a song that sees.
~
Many songs heard played,
Some the magic charm.
Ones that with you stayed,
Raise hairs on neck & arm.
~
In life a memory be,
My girl I pray goes far.
Hope she remembers fondly,
Us singing loudly in the car.

wonderful, brings back memories of my own mother and singing Cracklin Rosie on a Sunday morning while she made the Sunday roast. I never new what the words meant but I loved belting out "Cracklin Rosie you're a store bought woman"😁
Music and memories. A powerful combination
