Hi folks, since April is Parkinson's awareness month I would like to post some of your Parky poems on our social media pages - I have been scrolling back through the Wall to pick out a few and have messaged folk via the comments. Please reply with either a yes or a no and if you have poem you'd like to be included you can also message me at the wall on my poets page. Many thanks Ali

you might wish to consider this Ali, a touch depressing but maybe a balance with the more humourous pieces
You're impaled apon the horns of uncertainty
Climbing a wall that can never be scaled
Surfing a wave you do not want to ride
Bound by ropes that cannot be untied
Surfing a sea you have never before sailed
Parkinson's with it's multitude of symptoms
Each an adversity you are trying to fight
All of us different, but also the same
Shakers Utd. playing the same game
But not 90 minutes there is no respite
Again! Again! Again! and Again!
Each day a challenge and so it begins
Start the day try to hope for the best
But first the struggle…
Thank you Stephen I appreciate this.
Parky Poetry... which may suit...
Leaning Into Wind
Leading into wind.
Headstrong.
Maintain the centre, gravity.
Balance. Focus. Weigh.
You talk, sweet nothings, turning sour.
You paint where I can’t turn my head.
Old Tree. Fresh litter. Breaking bud.
And always, watch, a dog’s been here.
Heavy breathing.
One more foot forward.
Don’t care the break, the trash, the soiled.
The birds I hear above the heave.
Move, head down, path, a tarmac stare.
Already climbed the cobble stair.
No longer count.
Just getting there.
Parky, weather and disease.

I do my level best, down stairs,
sure, shaky start, finding my feet,
