Matchbox Lives

A world in a matchbox Each match like a soul Some burn bright, their flame strong Staying lit like a life lived long Others burn bright, but for not as long Did they do something wrong Or is it because they didn’t belong A half lived life, the saddest song Then there are those which won’t ignite The forgotten few that didn’t see the light Never a chance of burning bright To make a difference in the night
