I know you want to leave
Leave on your own terms
Terms I'm not always happy with
With a grace and peaceful goodbye
Goodbye to all the aches and pain
Pain that is deep within
Within your heart there is a longing
Longing to see him waiting
Waiting patiently he'll be
Be there to guide you through
Through it all we wish you well
Well now is the time
Time to say goodbye.
Thx Martin. I don't know about what form of poetry it is. It just flowed that way. I've looked it up but no idea still.
Is this a recognised poetic form, starting each line with the last word of the former?
It's very clever. It almost sounds like two voices as with Ali's bear poem and yet reads as one just as well
