Heistloween

Knock knock knock, there they go again,

Just turned six, already a dozen of them.

Must share findings, as here they seem to flock,

Next year different, garden gate I will padlock.

.

Trick or Treat Mister, we're here to collect,

Know you've a stash, we sent scouts to detect.

Standing there so cute in Halloween costumes,

Parents oblivious, of negotiation that ensues.

.

Pay the sweet tax or risk the strong chance,

Delivery of an egg, as we exact our vengeance.

One by one they line up, awaiting their turn,

Creating more fear than any Ghoul could earn.

.

In hands go, look to have doubled in size,

Guaranteed win, unlike a grab machine prize.

Filling their bags and all the hidden pockets,

Sweets overflow, right up to eyes sockets.

.

Innocently now leave, false smile and a wave,

My supplies now empty, as a woken zombies grave.

How did it happen, had enough to feed an Army,

Next group will have to, make do with a Corned Beef sarnie.
