I'm trying to be creative, to take part in the modern arts
Join a poetry club they say blow all your troubles apart.
Now theres the first mistake Ive made,
I can't get very far, without rhyming every other line
I've really started below par.
Why can't my brain evolve to write a sonnet or two
I really should employ my grasp of english and produce a real Haiku.
Where to start and what direction, if only I could scribe
Like Wordsworth, Shellly ,Milton, or get the Maya Angelou vibe.
But I think I've realised the point of writing your thoughts down,
It doesn't really matter if you're serious or a clown.
If the words on paper resonate with others in your circle
Just keep it up and write some more......
