As the ‘killing of Georgie’ filled the room

I listened to the lyrics of the Rod Stewart tune,

The following words hit the spot “Never wait or hesitate,

Get in kid, before it’s too late”.

Now there’s a lesson, I never thought I’d need,

Often heard, but never thought to heed.

it’s never you, it’s always another,

It will never get you, or you’re sure to recover.

But there is no reason, life’s not at all fair,

The fates will select, they show no care.

So get out there kid, and have a blast,

You never know, this time could be your last.
